Badenhop Fleischwerke maintains a sophisticated storage concept that includes both dry and cold storage facilities. These storage areas create a strong foundation for autonomous production processes and offer their customers flexible scheduling options with individual appointments and just-in-sequence deliveries.
The fully automated cold storage facility on Karoline-Herschel-Str. currently offers 32,000 pallet spaces and has further expansion potential. The system is fully automated and includes an automatic unloading direction, ensuring particularly efficient logistics. In total, Badenhop has over 52,000 pallet spaces across the company. The cold storage facility also operates as a service cold store: customers can store their goods and retrieve them flexibly as needed – for example, for just-in-time deliveries within their production or supply chains.
The cold storage facility also sets standards in sustainability: it is certified according to DIN ISO 50001 and uses a company-owned photovoltaic system that covers a large part of its energy needs. Furthermore, the storage area is HACCP-certified, thus meeting the highest requirements for food safety and hygienic process management. In this way, Badenhop combines modern storage technology with responsible resource management.
Another advantage lies in intelligent pallet logistics. During retrieval, the standardized plastic “in-house” pallets are transferred to customer-specific pallets and prepared for shipping. The plastic pallets used are made from food-grade recyclate, are specially shaped, and equipped with freely programmable chips. These store transport and product-relevant data, which is recorded contactlessly throughout the entire process – ensuring complete traceability.
The dry storage facility complements the cold storage with an additional 8,000 pallet spaces for Euro pallets. These generous capacities create the basis for independent production scheduling.
